I am a professional hairdresser with over 10 years of experience, passionate about teaching children and parents how to braid and create a variety of hairstyles. I have had the privilege of working with children who have ADHD and autism, and it is truly a joy to share these skills with them. Through my sessions, I aim to create a supportive and engaging environment where every child can learn at their own pace, develop fine motor skills, and gain a sense of achievement and pride in their work.

Over the years, I have delivered workshops in schools, colleges, community events, summer campaigns, as well as in care homes and prisons. These experiences have shown me that hair care and styling go far beyond appearances—they are a wonderful way to nurture confidence, encourage self-expression, and promote emotional and social well-being.

In a SEN school setting, my workshops are adapted to meet the individual needs of each child. I focus on patience, clear guidance, and hands-on learning, helping students build practical skills while boosting their self-esteem and creativity. Whether it’s braiding, styling, or learning basic hair care techniques, my goal is to empower students to feel proud of themselves and their abilities.

For me, this work is far more than just a job—it is a true blessing and a source of endless inspiration. Every day, I have the privilege of witnessing children discover their own creativity, build confidence, and experience the pride that comes from learning new skills. Seeing the sparkle in a child’s eyes when they successfully master a braid, create a hairstyle they love, or simply express themselves through hair is incredibly rewarding.

Working with children who have ADHD and autism has taught me patience, adaptability, and the importance of celebrating every small achievement. Each workshop is an opportunity to create a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where children can explore, learn at their own pace, and gain practical skills that extend far beyond haircare. The joy, laughter, and sense of accomplishment that emerge from these sessions fuel my passion and remind me why I chose this path.
